Submitting your manuscript to Journal of Biological Engineering Research and Review (JBERR) means that your work has not been published anywhere else in any other journal, book or in a book chapter, be it printed or online (except in the form of an abstract or an academic thesis).

The editor(s) of journal have the right to edit or to alter all contributions, but authors of the submitted work will receive proof before the publication of their work. 

Manuscripts should be typed in MS Word and must be submitted through journal website.

Manuscripts must be submitted by one of the authors of the manuscript, and should not be submitted by anyone on their behalf. The principal/corresponding author will be required to submit a Copyright Letter along with the manuscript, on behalf of all the co-authors (if any).

GENERAL GUIDELINES

We only accept the manuscript(s) written in English. Authors are allowed to use both American and British version of English but one style must be constant.

 

Manuscripts must be divided into the following sections:

Copyright Letter:

It is mandatory that a signed copyright letter should also be submitted along with the manuscript by the author to whom correspondence is to be addressed. Download the Copyright letter

Title Page:

Title page should include:

1) Title of article;
2) Initials and name of each author, with highest academic degree(s);
3) Name and address of the department or institution to which the work should be attributed
4) Email, Contact number and fax numbers of all authors 
5) author(s) summary and a digital photograph(s) (first/corresponding author summary and a digital photograph is mandatory)

Manuscript file

It should include:

1) Manuscript title;

2) Abstract;

3) Keywords;

4) Introduction;

5) Materials and Methods;

6) Results and Discussion;

7) Conclusions;

8) Acknowledgement;

9) Declaration of competing interest and

10) References

 

REFERENCES

References should be numbered consecutively in the order in which they are first mentioned in the text (not in alphabetic order). Identify references in text, tables, and legends by Arabic numerals in parenthesis/bracket like- [1]. References cited only in tables or figure legends should be numbered in accordance with the sequence established by the first identification in the text of the particular table or figure. Use the style of the examples below, which are based on the formats used by the NLM in Index Medicus. The titles of journals should be abbreviated according to the style used in Index Medicus. Use complete name of the journal for non-indexed journals. Avoid using abstracts as references. Information from manuscripts submitted but not accepted should be cited in the text as “unpublished observations” with written permission from the source. Avoid citing a “personal communication” unless it provides essential information not available from a public source, in which case the name of the person and date of communication should be cited in parentheses in the text. For scientific articles, contributors should obtain written permission and confirmation of accuracy from the source of a personal communication.
The commonly cited types of references are shown here, for other types of references such as electronic media, newspaper items, etc. please refer to ICMJE Guidelines (http://www.icmje.org).

Short Communication-
The journal publishes exciting findings, preliminary data or studies that did not yield enough information to make a full paper as short communications. These have the same format requirements as full papers but are only up to 5 pages in length. Short Communications should not have subtitles such as Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results and Discussion - all these have to be merged into the running text. Short Communications preferably should have only 3-4 illustrations.

Review Articles-
Should be about 18 pages long, contain up-to-date information, comprehensively cover relevant literature and preferably be written by scientists who have in-depth knowledge on the topic. All format requirements are same as those applicable to full papers. Review articles need not be divided into sections such as Materials and Methods and Results and Discussion, but should definitely have an Abstract and Introduction, if necessary.

F. PUBLICATION PROCESS

  1. After receiving author(s) manuscript, the author will receive a confirmation e-mail within one or two working days. If you have trouble in receiving or finding confirmation e-mail, kindly check your junk e-mails folder or put your complaints to the editor of the journal via e-mail.
  2. We are using peer-review system in which identity of author(s) remain anonymous to the reviewers (and vice versa) to make the review process fair. The review process may take 07 days to 10 days.
